DIY INSPIRATION - HEEL HARNESSES

I've been busy scouting for shoe inspiration for a few projects I'm doing at the moment, and these heel harnesses that I spied on Pip Edwards (accessories designer at Sass & Bide) over at Harper's BAZAAR Australia had my jaw to the floor. 'Love at first sight' doesn't cut it. Update: I'm told via instagram that these harnesses are indeed Sass & bide.

DIY DELICATE BELL BRACELETS

Sometimes I feel like wearing something small and pretty on my wrists, and it's times like these I wear delicate gold bracelets. Today over at the Style Network I show you how to make a set of bell bracelets - which you can also wear as anklets if you so desire.

DIY DELICATE GOLD CHAIN RINGS

I've been obsessing over multiple gold chain rings for ages so recently decided to make my own. It was incredibly simple and I'm pretty sure these babies won't be leaving my fingers any time soon. The best thing about these rings? You can mix and match how you wear them depending on your mood. How fun!

DIY INSPIRATION - CHAIN STRAP SKIRT

This S/S12 Givenchy skirt has an amazing chain strap and rounded cut out hem. DIYable? Yes indeed! This is going at the top of my 'when-I'm-next-in-a-thrift-store' list as the inspiration for a before & after project.

BUY IT OR MAKE IT

You could buy it. Or you could make it. The choice is yours.

1| Bell Embellished Shoulder Bag.  Buy it or Make it - Take a small black shoulder bag with a thick strap (or add a wide rectangle of leather over the shoulder section of the strap if you need more width) and embellish with gold bells.

2| Chain Necklace. Buy It or Make it -Take two lengths of chain. Drape them around your neck and connect at the front at bust height using ribbon or thread.

3| Gold Metallic Dress. Buy It or Make it - Spray paint a mini dress with gold spray paint. Look for a brand of paint that is non toxic when dry like Krylon.

4| Feather Embellished Heels. Buy it or Make it - embellish a pair of strappy heels with colored straight feathers.

5| Fringed Platform Pumps. Buy It or Make it - Add some suede fringing to the back of some suede pumps.

6| Gold Branch Necklace. Buy It or Make it - find some soft twigs and glue together to make a collar necklace. Spraypaint with gold. Sort of like the project I did here.

DIY ON THE RUNWAY - TOPSHOP UNIQUE SS12 ARM CHAIN

A lovely take on the body jewellery that's been popular for a while now, this gold arm adornment could easily be made with some bangles and chain. One of my favourites from the Topshop Unique SS12 show.

DIY Inspiration - Balmain Resort

The Balmain 2012 Resort collection was filled with DIY inspiration - draped chains, embellished jackets, thigh high split skirts, and boots with gold embellished points. I have a million ideas about little DIYs to do based on these gorgeous pieces.

DIY Fur Chain Bag

This woof woof chain bag DIYed by the lovely chow of heart+bleeker has me all hot and sweaty. I HAVE to make my own - thrifted fur/fauxfur coat and a sewing machine? Check! Wayyy more cuddly than a tamagochi for those of you wanting a puppy as much as me.

Also, I know I have slowed down on posting inspiration pics recently - but have decided that my blog's not the same without a steady flow of Inspiration and other blogger DIYs. Stay tuned!
