A.k.a the 'side boob' tank, complete with twisted straps. This festival essential, as well as year round basic, is this week's project for Harper's BAZAAR Australia. I made it from a cast-off mens t-shirt, super super simple. Perfect worn with a black lace triangle bra peeking out the side. Head over and check put the tutorial.

DIY SPIKED NECKLACE
Ok so you probably remember the spiked bracelet I made a few weeks ago (see here). After wearing it a few times and terrifying my friends and boyfriend that I would take an eye out whilst waving my arms around (as I do), I decided it was destined to become a new project. One that presents a little less risk to friends and family. I love that with DIY you can just keep reinventing your projects. I made a necklace out of it - enjoy!
These pics are actually outtakes of a couple of shoots I did for Lane Crawford as part of the American Apparel pop up store. More on that shortly.

DIY POM POM ANKLET WEDGES
I recently made a pair of multi-colored pom pom anklets and paired them with these amazing Tony Bianco electric blue suede wedges - talk about festive footwear! The anklets are removable and can be worn with any shoes you like, and can lend a harajuku/mexican fiesta air to an otherwise classic outfit. Although for these pics I decided to pair them with my cobalt J Brand skinny jeans - because sometimes more is more, right?

DIY BUTTON EARRINGS
Sometimes the best projects are the most simple ones. This week's project for Harper's BAZAAR is a pair of button earrings you can make in under 5 minutes. Enjoy!

DIY FRINGED SUEDE ANKLETS
Never one to wear something without changing it at least slightly, I recently embellished a pair of Tony Bianco heels by putting DIY suede anklets over the top. I think these embellished heels would look killer worn a la Isabel Marant A/W11 with a khaki jacket and ripped up denim shorts. What's even better is that the tutorial for these anklets is so incredibly simple, it's a project that even the most novice of DIYer could make a go of. Hope you like and are having a lovely weekend!

DIY SEQUIN TRIANGLE BRA
This week has seen Harper's BAZAAR Style Network celebrate Australia Day by focusing on Australian Designers - with the girls donning some gorgeous outfits by local Aussie designers. I decided to go a little bit abstract on the Australian theme and do a project that would be perfect to wear that quintessentially Australian festivity - the good old BBQ. This sequin bra would be perfect worn under a sheer white singlet or tee paired with denim cut offs and gladiator flats, and from it I get a bit of an Ellery or Sass & Bide vibe.

DIY DELICATE GOLD CHAIN RINGS
I've been obsessing over multiple gold chain rings for ages so recently decided to make my own. It was incredibly simple and I'm pretty sure these babies won't be leaving my fingers any time soon. The best thing about these rings? You can mix and match how you wear them depending on your mood. How fun!

DIY CELINE INSPIRED SILVER NECK CUFF
This incredibly simple project is sure to satisfy your Celine accoutrement cravings - the silver neck cuff. Or choker. Whatever you want to call it. I also made a much wider version which you will no doubt see soon!

DIY DIP DYE [OMBRE] MINI SKIRT
I'm on a dip dying frenzy at the moment and nothing is safe. For me, the trick is to create the perfect gradation between the original colour and the dyed colour. The kids are calling it ombre (say it with me: ohm-bray). Want to know how you can do it yourself?
This week will be the last post for Harper's Bazaar for this year, but I've got so many projects planned with them for next year so look forward to a very creative 2012!
Wearing: Self designed silk singlet, DIY Dip Dyed Mini Skirt, locally designed metal belt, Zara suede boots.

DIY NEON MARKET BAG
This project has been on my mind for a while and I've been searching high and low for the right raffia bag. I finally found one and got to work making the perfect colour blocked oversized market bag. Exactly what I needed for filling with fruit, veggies and flowers on my Sunday afternoon market run. Ok so I have to tell you - this project has to be one of my all time favourites.

DIY RAFFIA COLLAR NECKLACE
Who doesn't love a little bit of tribal inspired neckwear? I recently made this extremely simple raffia collar necklace for Harper's BAZAAR to go with all the other tribal bits and pieces that seem to be accumulating in my wardrobe by the tonne.

A very big thanks to everyone who's been following my posts over at HB. I'm told the Style Network has been doing really well and the traffic even managed to crash the website on the day it launched. Crazy huh?

DIY GLITTER BOOTS
Ok so most of you know that I've been obsessing over glitter this season. Particularly glitter embellished boots of all kinds. For some reason the mix of the toughness of the boots paired with glitter works so well for me, worn with a classic outfit like denim shorts, sheer white singlet and a black silk blazer. That's why I recently crafted these glitter finished boots - and have been wearing them to death! Want to see how you can make your own? Make sure to pop over to Harper's BAZAAR Australia who have posted my tutorial.

DIY DISTRESSED DENIM CUT OFF SHORTS
Distressed denim cut offs are a definite wardrobe essential, and not just for summer - worn with opaque tights, ankle boots and a camel coat they transition perfectly into your autumn/winter wardrobe. Think Miranda Kerr off-duty chic. This week over at the Harper's BAZAAR Australia website I go back to basics and show you how to make your own.
Happy Friday! Have you got any crafty projects planned for this weekend?
