A HINT OF GLINT

(J Brand mid-rise skinny jeans in soft lilac, Ted Baker micro pleat Emmii top3.1 Phillip Lim Minute clutch,  Asos spike stretch bracelet, also loving this one, Zara laminated high wedge)

Always on a look out for a good pair of jeans, I was delighted when my beloved J Brand jeans come out with fresh new colors for spring.  I have to admit, it was pretty difficult choosing between the prettiest blue, sherbet yellow and this pretty pale lavender. But I have a soft spot for all shades of purple so I finally decided on the lavender. Absolutely happy with my decision, I am pretty sure I am going to get the yellow ones as well. Yes, I am one of those people who buy things they like in all the available colors. Because after all, if the color is different it's basically a different pair of jeans, right:)?

Hope you guys are not getting tired of seeing this Phillip Lim clutch. I know I've used it in every single one of my posts lately but it's one of those magical bags that works with everything. I am starting to feel bad for my old favorites collecting dust on the shelves and I make an effort to use a different bag yet come back to this clutch anyway. Does it ever happen to you? Any favorites at the moment?

Have a great week,
Love,
Annabelle

LA VIE EN ROSE

(Leyendecker dress, Zara high heel sandals with buckles, Beso Beso necklaces & rings)

Finally I am beginning to feel like Summer is here. We've been blessed with the most marvelous weather lately, with a few ugly exceptions, which I decided to completely disregard. Very happy to finally wear a few of my new Summer dresses, including this gorgeous dress by Leyendecker in my favorite shade of grayish pink.

In other news, you may have noticed my blog is undergoing a few changes. I just felt time has come to simplify the layout a little. What do you think of the new look?

DETAIL ORIENTED

(Gifted Winter Kate Riya dress - StefaniBags.com, Zara heels, 3.1 Phillip Lim Minute clutch,  Asos spike stretch bracelet, also loving this one)

Really fell in love with the tribal pattern on the front of this dress, and of course the black and white combination is so timeless. I like a little black dress with a bit of drama, like an interesting shape or fabric or a bit of cute detailing.

Another obsession of the moment seem to be clutches in all colors and sizes. Funny, it used to be all about a huge caryall for me. The bigger, the better. I mean, leaving the house without a cosmetics bag, 2 hair brushes, 3 organizers and a bunch of Emil's stuff, which always magically founds its way into my bag - unthinkable! But now, I am finding that a smaller purse is much more efficient. At the end of the day, I really don't need to have 7 lip glosses with me all the time:) Yesterday, it only took me about 30 seconds to find my car keys, a new speed record, believe me:)

This particular clutch by Phillip Lim is a favorite! I got a few emails about it, yes, it's white on one side and black on the other. Cool, right?! It's like two bags in one!

Keep on smiling,
Love,
Annabelle

FOLLOW THE SUN

(Blouse - Billabong, Zara blazer & heels, jeans old - similar here & here, 3.1 Phillip Lim Minute clutch,  Asos spike stretch bracelet, also loving this one, A pendant albeitjewelry.com)

Hey Everyone,

I would like to thank you for your continued support and for your wonderful emails. You words of encouragement mean the world to me and I just want to say again that if you have any questions, please feel free to shoot me an email:) I also want to take this opportunity to answer some of the more frequent questions.

1. I'm really not that tall:) I'm about 5.8. High heels are real miracle workers, huh:)

2. Yes, my friends borrow my clothes, shoes and bags all the time. I believe in sharing:)

3. I don't wear a lot of makeup. I hate foundation and never wear it, but I do like a bit of bronzer. I am a complete mascara and eye liner addict. YSL Noir Haute Densite mascara and Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel liner are my favorite ones.

4. Favorite cafe in LA is Urth Caffe Santa Monica. I recommend trying Green Tea Boba and cherry pie. And they make an amazing cup of coffee:)

5. Breakfast at Tiffany's is my favorite movie of all time. Audrey Hepburn is timeless.

6. I am a shoeaholic, I love shoes, I just can't help it! In fact I just bough a new pair today:)

7. I do exercise, I run and do Yoga. Started running a few years ago, and it was really hard at first, but now I'can't live without it.

8. If I wasn't a fashion blogger, I think I would love to be a fashion designer. I have a ton of sketch books at home full of ides for clothes, shoes and jewelry:)

NEIMAN MARCUS EDDIE BORGO EVENT HOSTED BY MEREDITH MELLING BURKE

(Gryphon studded trench, 3.1 Phillip Lim slim stretch canvas pants, Alexander Wang Noemi booties, 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli satchel, Eddie Borgo overlapping triangle bracelet & large cone bracelet)

First, I would like to congratulate Victoria from This English Rose with winning Jennifer Zeuner Necklace giveaway. Hope you enjoy it!

In other news, Emil and I had the  pleasure of attending Neiman Marcus Eddie Borgo event hosted by Meredith Melling Burke. Since I am a big admirer of Eddie Borgo jewelry, it was absolutely amazing to meet Eddie in person. Charming and charismatic, Eddie draws inspiration for his designs from American costume jewelry, history of Rock and Roll and New York City.

His SS12 line, is an embodiment of cool elegance with an edge, heavy on geometric shapes in rose, white, yellow and black metals accentuated by colored gemstones.

My favorite piece from his SS12 collection is a cone bracelet with lavender gemstones, really didn't think it was possible to combine edge and femininity so effortlessly. How about you guys, which one is your favorite?

Special thank you to Lisa Rodman from Neiman Marcus for inviting me, it was an unforgettable experience.
Wishing you all a wonderful week,
Love,
Annabelle
