. . . sunny april days always feel like a celebration in and of themselves, and even more delightful with cake & champagne, [as most things are], and especially today, for today, we are celebrating not only the blossoming trees of springtime, but also the winner of the most recent give-away . . . and so, delightfully excited to announce that the winner is . . .
. . . a few lovely springs things -- shoes & handbags -- in shades of blush, cloud and apricot, nude and champagne, with a touch of gold, [of course!] . . .
. . . and before we are whisked away to this week's exotic and impossibly romantic {take me away} location, first, a stop by 'london's prettiest cupcake café', the peggy porschen parlour, in belgravia; the stunningly pretty pink exterior is like a beautiful daydream, and inside, an array of freshly baked cupcakes, cookies and exquisite confections await . . .
. . . and a part of the weekend was spent in the countryside, back gardens and magnolia blossoms, and it was so very lovely to drive out of the busy-ness of the city for a while; and the week has begun in spring sunlight, cups of coffee and conversations before breakfast, and although so much has been done in the past weeks, there is still much to, and so, it's for now, more coffee and a beautiful new week . . .
happy monday! hope you had a stunning spring weekend, and that your week is off to a perfect start, — roséline xo [a few lovely links below] x
. . . lately have been thinking about the things we always come back to—the crashing waves of the ocean, a favourite fragrance or countryside road, a novel or restaurant; for some, there are the same colours, designers, or interiors . . .
. . . and for me, it is this manhattan apartment, belonging to fashion designer betsey johnson—a maximalist heaven of overflowing bouquets of roses and utterly breathtaking pink walls, beautiful chandeliers and yards upon yards of antique lace . . .
. . . positively adore bright colours in the springtime, but nearly always on others, for here, it's lacy whites and billowy pastels—and yet, at a time of year when the brightness of longer days beautifully envelopes everything, it's nearly impossible not to be drawn to shades of tangerine and cerise, and daffodil silk, and most of all, fuchsia, so elegantly chic when paired with white, that it may be time to fall headfirst . . .
“We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.”
. . . astonishingly, very nearly at the month of march, two months of the new year passed already, and already, windows have been open to the late-winter air that is now, nearly imperceptibly, tinged with the promise of blossoming magnolia trees and longer, sun-drenched days ahead, and so, for today, it's away with wintry things, soft flushed cheeks, and a dash of perfect pink across the lips . . .
. . . and the realization that it was already [and impossibly] mid-december set in this morning, even before the first cup of coffee, and there are still so many plans to make, and things to do, and if you're running a little behind on the holiday shopping, as is the case here, a few perfectly pretty things, for best friends [or yourself], in shades of blush and bits of gold . . .
happy monday! hope your week is off to a perfect start, roséline xo
