. . . must confess, has been far too long since have stopped to pick up a magazine, but after happening upon this dramatic and stunning home featured in house beautiful on anna's blog last week, had immediately made a note to purchase the digital version for the ipad, but after stopping by the bookstore on the way home one night, and gazing upon this west hollywood home again, completely fell in love with the glossy pages and this breezy take on traditional . . .

{two lovely things: perfectly mismatched}

two lovely things
two-sinks

. . . two sinks, side by side -- his & hers -- a chrome and glass cocktail table as a shelf for perfume and hair pins, and perfectly mismatch mirrors before the busy-ness of the day begins . . .

{p.s.} if you're looking for us, we {p. & i} have traded in the hustle & bustle of the city for a place in front of the fire, in an impossibly romantic log cabin in the mountains, with very spotty internet access, a million miles from everything x

. . . by the time you read this message, it will be many cups of coffee later, and well on our way out of town to new york for fashion week, having awoken at an impossible hour and caught a glimpse of the most spectacular september sunrise, the clouds an indescribably breathtaking and vibrant shade of pinkish-coral and lined in silver, and there will be fashion week events and breakfast meetings, long-overdue appointments and afternoon shows, cocktail dresses for 6pm soirées and can not wait to tell you!

hope you are having a wonderful weekend, and that it's beautiful where you are, roséline xo

{décor inspiration: tray chic}

. . . at this moment, there are perfume bottles scattered prettily about everywhere -- on the dresser, on the vanity, even on the desk, amongst pretty notepaper and fountain pens . . . and have always loved the way a simple tray, whether square or circular, gold or silver, can transform a few pretty bottles into a beautiful display; add venetian glass and deep emerald & onyx-hued marble, a bouquet of delicate peonies, and what could be lovelier?

{p.s.} another way to display perfume collections
