. . . and it was just about this time, last year, there was a dressing room enveloped in carerra marble and accented with pretty bits of pink, here and there, and today it's a powder room, in the very same perfect combination, both of which also happen to be two very favourite things . . .

. . . from stockhom to malmö, and intoxicating mix of fireplaces and french doors, intermingled with perfectly ornate ceilings, crown molding and breathtaking floods of light, gilded mirrors from paris, and washed herringbone floors, time-worn wood, marble, and bits of gold . . .

. . . two things shall never fall out of love with : glittery mirrors & lovely lucite -- both, brightening and throwing open spaces, and both in one lovely place, a dressing room [modern] dreams are made of . . .

{storage inspiration: silver trays & julep cups}

. . . whether gold leaf or silver, seem to be on the topic of trays quite a bit recently, for storage and for display, whether it is used for a few favourite scents [above], or an array of beautiful compacts [below], everything always seems a little more refined when displayed on an elegant tray . . .





. . . and currently, make-up brushes, touche éclat, q-tips, and tortoise-shell combs reside in finished diptyque glass candle holders, but perhaps, julep cups in silver and gold may be a lovely change . . .
