DIY studded shorts
The jeans I made these shorts of have a long and complicated life. I bought them six years ago, and wore them a lot at that time. Then, I let them down - I was such a bad friend.. However, I always kept them, and I recovered our friendship after a while and I started wearing them again. This was until the moment I decided to transform them in some badass ripped jeans. They absolutely rocked, btw! But.. I love change, so it was time to modify them again: in these studded jeans to be precise. Hope you like them!

Multiple shades
As promised yesterday, here's the first outfitpost with the bag. I wore this outfit last weekend, when the weather was still delightful. It's a pretty simple look, but I think it's still interesting because of the use of items like the two-toned sunglasses and the ombre sweater. Call me conservative, but I'm always careful with wearing see-through clothes. I want them to look classy, even though most people would say they are less decent than high-necked tops or ladylike dresses. However, I believe see-through clothes do have the potential to look elegant, feminine and classy. When properly styled, a cut-out maxi dress or a sheer shirt can be even more chic than a non-transparent piece. And even though this look isn't intended to be very sophisticated and solid, I think it's important to consider whether the see-through item is still decently enough. Anyway, I think the sweater has passed the test. I love it in combination with the black bandeau bra. It strengthens the feeling of spring!

GUESS what?!
Guess what? I'm the proud owner of thé perfect black bag. I already made some outfitpictures with it and I promise I'll show them to you in tomorrow's post! I was so happy when I discovered this beauty in the Guess bags section of Bagageonline. They sell amazing Samsonite suitcases and Dakine bagpacks too, btw. So if you want to travel in style (or you want an amazing bag for school, shopping, or .. just because), you should definitely take a look at the website. ;-)

The city trip
Visiting another city than your own is such a great thing to do, even when the relevant city is in your homecountry. However, I learned (by trial and error) that dressing comfortable is the most important thing when doing that. So I decided to style a really city-proof look. I hope you like it!

You rock my world
I don't shop a lot at this time of the year. The reason for that? I already want to wear the new spring and summer collections, but the weather doesn't allow me to do that. However, this january/february shopping strike causes me saving money so that I'm able to do tons of amazing purchases by the end of March, when the weather is more favorable - hopefully (I heard they expect a very hot spring, so that's a big yay for me). I'll start working on my spring/summer wishlist this weekend, and I can't describe my euphoric feelings when only thinking of all of the gorgeous items that will come through my laptop screen during this search. Wish me luck with my hunt on the best spring/summer clothes ever!

The investment
I'm so excited. I devised some great ideas for the blog today. I'll implement them before the end of the year, and I'm really curious whether you'll like it. But for now: The outfit I wore last Friday. It's funny for me to see this faux fur vest, because it has been in use for a very long time now. My mother and I bought it in the early days of 2005 (so almost seven years ago), so you can say we ran ahead of the trend for a number of years. After she wore it a couple of years, she allowed me to adjust it so that it would be fitting for me. I'm wearing the vest for three years now, and I still love it. It has proved to be a good investment. :)

Snakeskin on my feet
Veni, vidi, vici! - I came, I saw, I conquered!
Let's keep the quote of the day brief. As you might know, this quote isn't mine, in contrast to the foregoing ones. It's a sentence reportedly written by Julius Caesar, as comment to a very short war he waged. I read his Latin writings in high school, and I have to say I loved the language and the stories he wrote. The culture of that time has always interested me.
But enough about that. It's time for the outfit with my oh so beloved snakeskin booties. I like the combination of them with maroon so much. However, to avoid a totall messy look full of different shades and textures, I kept the rest of the outfit serene with black items. Have a nice Tuesday, everyone!

Outfit: "Easy breezy"
Going outside without tights in October is a unique thing in Holland, so probably you understand my euphoria when I was able to wear this outfit with bare legs. And to eliminate all uncertainties: If you're wondering whether I'm a vampire, the answer is no. I'm just a white girl with a very pale skin haha.
Because the leaves have already fallen from the trees and turned red and yellow instead of bright green, I thought it would be very appropriate to mix the best things of both fall and summer. My chunky knitted sweater, hat and leather jacket on the one hand, and on the other hand the bare legs and the short pleated skirt (and probably the messy bun in my hair, because it reminds me of my hair after the long days at the beach). Wish the weather would always be like this.. :)

A drizzling outfitpost
Just a quick outfitpost, nothing special. To me, the weather seems totally confused. It's half of June but when you look outside you'd swear it's autumn. Accidentally, when I'm writing this, the sun appears a bit. But it rained the whole day. And what's better than wearing comfortable clothing when it's raining cats and dogs? I'm wearing my lace-up boots (still can't believe how much comfort they have, it's unbelievable) with my leather jacket. I created a "sheer shirt effect" with the upper layer of a top I own for a while now. To add a pop of color to the outfit, I chose my bright pink skirt. I think the asymmetrical umbrella makes the look a bit more edgy.
I'm pretty excited about the outfitpost I'll post tomorrow. I totally love my new shoes!

The favorite items outfit
What was in the Guess' bag in my previous post? This amazing leather jacket! It's definitely a great investment. It's worth his price. I think I felt in love with an item again, haha. I wore this outfit yesterday. I combined it with my bag that's same-colored as the belt I'm wearing, but accidentally I left it in the car so you can't see it on the pictures.
Now I'm watching the pictures again, I notice that I combined all of my favorite items for this outfit. The orange dress is from Romwe and I really love it. Orange is one of my adorations at the moment, and chiffon is always a good choice when it's sunny. Then you have the boots and the sunglasses, who were also worth the money because - as you probably have seen - I wear them a lot. And last but not least, the bright yellow nailpolish. Such a great color, very playful. I'm sure my nails love it, haha.
