“We are all mortal until the first kiss and the second glass of wine.”
— Eduardo Galeano
. . . and it has certainly been a weekend of kisses & wine, and bouquets of roses scattered about the place; there were pim's orange and banana bread, and a traditional sunday dinner with family from out of town; pretty pastel dresses and golden sandals, and that pervasive feeling, that has been hanging in the air for the past few months, of change and excitement for the next few days and weeks . . .
. . . hello, again! it's lovely to see you -- currently writing from a cosy seat in front of the fire, in a spectacular lodge of warm, time-worn wood, elegant floor coverings and tartan sofas, and our beautiful two-day stay here has come to a close on this blustery, sunny friday, and after spending yesterday afternoon sipping champagne in a stunning handcrafted mahogany boat [a hacker craft, for those who know their boats] in a favourite pair of wide-leggedjeans and trench, was reminded of how nautical inspiration moves perfectly from hazy summermornings to crispautumn days . . .
{p.s.} regular posting shall resume next week & there is so much to tell you! x
