“We are all mortal until the first kiss and the second glass of wine.”
— Eduardo Galeano
. . . and it has certainly been a weekend of kisses & wine, and bouquets of roses scattered about the place; there were pim's orange and banana bread, and a traditional sunday dinner with family from out of town; pretty pastel dresses and golden sandals, and that pervasive feeling, that has been hanging in the air for the past few months, of change and excitement for the next few days and weeks . . .
hope you've had an impossibly lovely spring weekend, and that it's beautiful where you are, — roséline xo [a few lovely links below] x
. . . when the chanel spring 2012 ready-to-wear collection graced the runways of paris, there was a collective gasp at the magic underwater kingdom created by karl lagerfeld -- there was lightness and seashells, but most astonishingly lovely, were the iridescent pearls glistening from chignons and following the curvatures of necks and down plunging backs . . .
. . . and after happening upon a few beautiful backstage photos of the show recently, a few golden hairpins laying about on the dressing table, and some pretty pearl beads were all the inspiration necessary . . .
. . . aside from nicole richie's brass seven-strand coin headpiece, few hair accessories have been as stunningly lovely—that is, until the utterly enchanting shooting stars seen on the runways at rodarte . . . [as always, a million more beautiful things below] x
. . . and of all the new york fashion week invitations, may have regretted missing the tory burch fall 2012 collection most, for many reasons, but mostly for the insanely romantic palest pink organza rosettes perfectly paired with gilt metallic pencil skirts and golden hairbands, and the astonishingly lovely handbags strewn with cognac-coloured petals . . .
. . . and after the beautiful insanity of the past few weeks, and all of the wonderful things that seem to be happening all at once, it was lovely to slow things down, just a little, over the weekend, passing the hours over long dinners in favourite restaurants, and at quiet tables in cosy pubs, late evenings watching films and saturday afternoon at the shops for spring jackets, lipstick and lovely lacy things, and now it's monday, monday, and there is coffee and so much to look forward to this week . . .
hope you've had an impossibly lovely weekend, and that your week is off to a perfect start —roséline xo
