. . . and it has been a topsy-turvy morning with little emergencies and much drama, and in between making calls and making plans, we are drinking far too much coffee . . . but things shall return back to schedule in a bit, for there are still a few beautiful things to come before the day is through, including this week's {take me away} and, perhaps, even, the winner of last week's give-away, and so, for now, à bientôt / see you soon . . .
. . . hello! . . . the week has very much gotten away, as you can imagine [where does the time go?], but as the philosophy here is always better late than never, shall still share a few last and lovely things before the weekend, even as most have already dashed off for much-anticipated after-office cocktails, but in the event there are a few moments here & there, stop by if you like, especially for the beautiful diy had mentioned earlier in the week . . .
. . . hello! lovely to see you again, and how was your weekend? ours was filled with a [quite insane] busy-ness, much different from the recent luxuriously low-key weekends of late, late mornings and sunday brunches; this one was filled with unfinished projects, paint and brushes and drywall dust thrown into the mix for most of the time, with a few moments, happily, on sunday evening, for the oscars [didn't gwyneth look amazing?]; and now, extravagantly happy for a new week, just to have things back to a regular pace again, although there is now a mountain of things left to catch up on, and so, very late weekend links to follow, but for now, a flurry of tangerine tango & a quick hello . . .
happy monday! hope your week is off to a perfect start, —roséline xo
{p.s.} have fallen quite behind on emails and responses may take a little longer than usual x

. . . hello! how are things? despite it being already mid-week, feels as if things are still a little in weekend mode, moving along in beautiful slow-motion, like a sequence in a film, but also whirling by quickly, at once, as nights fall into bright new days, and yesterday was much running around, and the renovations continue, and despite a few delays on current projects, things are being crossed on lists and plans are beginning to take shape, just as the days are wonderfully falling longer again . . .
à bientôt / see you soon & hope you week has been lovely so far, —roséline xo
{p.s.} beautiful new things to come, including this week's {take me away} x
. . . with so much happening lately, had nearly forgotten to wish you a happy february! already into the second month of this new year, and must confess that this month is actually one of my very favourites, for many reasons, and especially this year, with all of the exciting new things still to come [so very soon now -- can not wait to tell you] . . . hope your week has been lovely, lovely -- a few more things to share today, and still, weekend wishes & links, but for now, a quick hello on this beautiful february day . . .
. . . more backstage photographs at elie saab have surfaced, and they are, to be certain, as exquisitely lovely as the last, and as such, impossible to resist -- the enchanting glimpses of little moments and astonishingly beautiful details are spectacularly lovely . . . and this week has already begun much busier than the last, and so, things may be a little sporadic here & there, but there are a million new and beautiful things to get lost in and to share, and so it goes . . .
hope you had a wonderful weekend, and that your week is off to a perfect start, —roséline xo
. . . hello! after a busy & lovely weekend, a [very] late start here, and how are things? the new week is already filled with a million things, including still more sorting & organising [beribboned boxes of old photographs, long-lost love letters and beautifully written correspondence cards], and plotting & plan-making, meetings and appointments and telephone calls, but also, moments of leisure in all of the busy-ness, for catching up with an old friend, and lattes and mid-day lunch dates . . .
hope you had a beautiful weekend, and that your week is off to a perfect start, —roséline xo
{p.s.} also : a flurry of new posts from just before the weekend, which you [very likely] may have missed:
. . . and on a tuesday that feels like a monday, a collection of beautiful things: the top twelve most popular posts, one for each month, of the year we leave behind . . .
. . . at this moment, writing to you in a near sugar-induced coma, and after all the cheesecake and häagen-dazs, swiss chocolates and french chocolates and caramel-drizzled sticky toffee pudding, it's safe to say that time at the gym is on the new year's resolution list once again this year -- but oh, it was so deliciously worth every single bite . . . hope you're having a wonderful last december week, and enjoying every single last moment, roséline xo
{p.s.} the final {take me away} article of the year to follow, with many more to come in the next x
. . . lounging about on a monday morning must certainly be one of the greatest luxuries, and that is how the day began, the sun streaming through the gauzy sheers, and after, the café and the shops, dinner, [all of us together again], a glass of proseco and conversations long into the night, and today, it's another dinner a little way out of town, and had nearly forgotten how wonderful it is to have these beautiful [nearly forgotten] moments of perfect repose . . .
. . . la vie est faite de petits bonheurs / life is full of little pleasures, and of those, were the many lovely moments spent here, and so, thank you for the mornings you've dreamed away over coffee, and the evenings over wine, and especially to those who have taken the time to say helloeveryday, and for all the [sometimes heartrendingly] lovely notes & letters over the past year -- it has been wonderful to share little glimpses of life and moments of sheer and utter beauty with you, and while there will be many more beautiful things to get hopelessly lost in, to come, but for now, it's fairy lights and champagne cocktails, cut-crystal glasses of vintage chianti by the fire, and moments of such loveliness, it will cause one's breath to catch . . . wishing you a holiday filled with love and magic, and that it's beautiful wherever in the world you may be, roséline xo {p.s.} and to p, thank you for literally saving christmas this year, although must confess you save it every year, and can not wait to spend every single moment for the next few days with you♥ af e w l o v e l y l i n k s :
. . . the first half of the week was so stunningly busy, decided to take a little time, on wednesday afternoon, for spending in the last [breathtaking] autumn sunlight, a gallery exhibit, a traipse about the city, past parks and shops, and a very lovely lunch date . . .
hope you're having an equally splendid week so far, roséline xo
. . . perfectly exhausted from the week's rather ambitious schedule, and so, another cup of coffee and a little time to catch up -- emails [& emails!] and letters and plans -- but shall return with much to share before the week is through . . .
à bientôt / see you soon, & hope you are having a lovely week so far, roséline xo
"There is time for work. And there is time for love. That leaves no other time."
~ Coco Chanel
. . . today has been mostly work, and yet, still in the throes of what may well be the second longest post to complete in history [this one, being the first], as is often the case with photographs that are our own -- the level of perfectionism reaches new and impossible heights, but most certainly, when all is said and done, [hopefully], everything will turn out beautifully . . .
. . . overcast, and the ground, laden with fallen leaves and autumn's full arrival, despite somewhere [and secretly] hoping that summer would, perhaps, last even a minute longer, but, as it is, shall embrace the cosiness of tweed blazers with soft leather elbow patches, long skirts and leather boots and quilted barbour jackets, candlelight on rainy afternoons and the stillness of dark, early mornings . . .
