Written press
My apologizes for the lack of outfitposts in the last three days; I promise I'll post one ASAP (let's say: tomorrow). For now, I want to show you a feature in written press from last weekend. It's the first time seeing myself on two whole pages in a magazine, so I confess I was really excited when I saw it for the first time. Have a nice weekend and make sure you won't miss the outfitpost tomorrow! ;-)

Favorites
It was my nineteenth birthday yesterday, and I had an amazing day. A birthday is a perfect opportunity to wear a sequined dress, so it was the first time I wore mine. It's from AX Paris and it's puffed sleeves are so cute. I'll try to show it in an outfitpost soon!
Before we left home, my brother gave me his present. I'm so happy that these Converse shoes are mine now! They are the first sneakers in my shoe collection (since a long time) and I'm totally in love with them. I've never owned a pair of All Stars before, but I recently became obsessed with them. I conceived so many ways to style them, and I'm really excited about these plans because I like trying something different than I usually do. I'm sure they'll look great in the outfits I've got in mind!
I wanted to show you two of my new perfumes before, but I didn't so here they are. They were Christmas presents from my daddy (Midnight rain by La Prairie) and mom (Candy by Prada). They smell so heavenly... I wish your computer had smell sensors, haha.
And we already arrived at the last favorite of today! It's just as the previous two a relatively old picture (I also made it the day before Christmas). At that time, I already tweeted about my shopping spree to celebrate the first day of my vacation and this Dior mascara was one of my purchases. It's the one with the self-rotating brush, and I have to confess I feel really sci-fi when using it.

Tommy
My mother and I had a wonderful day last Friday. We left home early to start our shopping day at the PC Hooftstraat in Amsterdam. It's a great (probably the best) shopping street for luxury brands in Amsterdam. I bought so many amazing items at the Tommy Hilfiger store, and I can't wait to show them to you! I'll post my first outfit with some of the items tomorrow, but for now just a sneak preview of my new wintercoat, two wool scarves, burgundy cowleather bag, dark red leather belt, and leather wallet. I feel like I'm in seventh heaven, I totally love my new purchases! What's your first impression of them?

Meet my new lovers
I was on the hunt for the perfect leather ankle boots for weeks now, so when I stood face to face with these beauties, I was more than delighted. The feeling of ecstasy became even more intense when I noticed one pair of limited edition snakeskin shoes, in the corner of the store. Unexpected purchases are the most satisfying, I guess.

The comfy chick
Picture this: You're wandering around in some online shops at the end of a peaceful day in September. You know clothes and shoes are your passion, and you're careful because you don't have much time and you know when you'll discover a shop with the most awesome items ever you'll spend way too long on the Internet. Despite this prudence, you're stumbling upon this particular online shop and your eyes spot great items. Immediately your brains linking those items together so that an image of a beautiful outfit is created, and you know.. You're in love. You want this set right now.
Sounds familiar? For me, it does. It just happened to me when I stumbled upon this fashion shop. I was looking for some fashion accessoiries when I saw the boots. And the jacket.. And the leggings.. I'm yearning to wear a comfortable outfit today, so if I owned these items, I'd definitely grab them out of my closet and pull them on.

Je weet dat je een passie hebt voor kleding en schoenen, en je bent voorzichtig omdat je niet veel tijd hebt en je weet.. Als je een nieuwe shop ontdekt waar ze de meest awesome items ever verkopen, zal je veelsteveel tijd op het internet doorbrengen. Ondanks deze voorzichtigheid stuit je toch op deze bepaalde online shop en je ogen spotten geweldige items. Je hersenen verbinden deze items onmiddelijk aan elkaar, zodat er een beeld van een prachtige outfit is gecreëerd. En je weet: Je bent verliefd. Je wilt deze set per direct.
Klinkt bekend? Voor mij wel. Het gebeurde zojuist met me toen ik struikelde over deze online shop. Ik was op zoek naar wat accessoires toen ik de laarsjes zag. En het jasje.. En de leggings.. Ik hunker vandaag naar het dragen van een comfortabele outfit, dus als ik deze items had, zou ik ze direct uit mijn kast graaien en ze aantrekken.

My runway show
Thanks to your votes I was in the final of the Specsavers "glasses face 2011" competition today. I enjoyed it so much and I became 3th of The Netherlands! Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to wear my own beloved Spijkers en Spijkers glasses. I had a lovely stylist who chose two different frames and outfits for me to wear on the runway. The first picture is taken after the competition, when I wore my own glasses again. I met some amazing people today, and the team we worked with was very nice as well. After this experience, I'm even more sure than I already was that I want to work in the fashion industry after I finished university. I wish I was a few centimeters longer so that I could do modeling every single day ;-) But who knows? I like to dream big. And big dreams may come true, it just depends on how much you want something. And this is my passion, so I'll fight for it. Like a real warrior, haha.

Never showed material
I'm still on vacation and I've to confess I truly believe this place is paradise itself. The weather, the people, the culture.. Everything is as it should be. I'll fully enjoy every moment untill I have to leave this beautiful country. But before I show you some holidaypictures, I've got some never showed material for you. *drum rolls*
The never showed material consists of pictures of a few outfits I wore in the last two and half months. The looks vary from androgyne to indian summer to glamour with gold, and so on. 1) The first look I wore with a jeans jacket resting on my shoulders - very Parisian -, 2) the second outfit roughly consists of a Prada bag, DIY sheer shirt, leather shorts and Spijkers en Spijkers glasses, 3) the third one is just a simple summerlook, with bright pink strapless top and oversized sunnies, 4) the fourth outfit I called indian summer because of the headband, and the white asymmetric dress, 5) and last but not least the fifth look is a glamourous one with a lot of golden jewelry, leather sandals, oversized sunglasses and a white shirt-dress.

Outfit: "Ancient times"
The title of this post is an exaggeration, but these pictures were taken a few months ago. It wasn't in the planning to post them, because I'm not sure about their quality (and about my overtired face haha). However, I think you've the right to see them. I wore a dotted dress with a silk blazer above it. The chain bag, the armor ring and the braided belt are the accessoiries. It's just a simple look, but perfect for a rainy day like that day in the end of June.

Outfit: "Preparing for autumn"

I'm wearing my new ARAFEEL skirt, and styled it with items in brown shades. I tthink the draped scarf and the bold leather bag are perfect to create an elegant look.

Outfit: "Red lipstick and galluses"
I wore my new clothing by Outfitters Nation yesterday: the boyfriend jeans and the t-shirt with the two bright hearts on it. I chose flat sandals to keep the look leaned back and I think the galluses give a specific edge to the ensemble. The military jacket is my favorite blazer, so I didn't have to doubt for a long time about what jacket was allowed to take care of my warmth. As loyal readers of my blog already know, I made the oversized leather clutch myself and the bracelet is from a little jewelry store in Amsterdam.
